The Election Commission of Pakistan has disqualified PTI Chairman Imran Khan, chancing him shamefaced for not participating in details of Toshakhana gifts and proceeds from their trade during his time as Prime minister.

In expectation of a kick by PTI, security in the civil capital's Red Zone has been on high alert all day, with at least,100 police officers stationed in the area under the command of SP of police to control the law and order situation.

The Toshakhana reference filed for Imran’s disqualification was transferred to the ECP by National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on the request of members of the ruling coalition. They contended in the reference that Imran Khan didn't expose the income in his means earned by dealing gifts entered from Toshakhana. The reference filed under Composition 63 of the Constitution sought Imran Khan’s disqualification under Composition 62- 1( f).

Government Officers must declare all gifts, but are allowed to keep those below a certain value. More precious particulars must go to Toshakhana, but in some cases the philanthropist can buy them back at around 50 of their value-- a reduction Khan raised from 20 while in office.

Is This Toshakhana or TochaKhan?
